Just finished bedroom, taken 12 months with one thing and another but we really love it now. Trying to persuade Alan that laminate floor in the living room and hall is a good idea but he said he gave in with the bedroom being laminated and he said it's cold and no way. Will just have to keep trying, will use a few 'female charms' Any ideas girls? ;D ;D ;D

G oto your local DIY centre and buy the laminate without him, then he'll feel obliged to fit it ;D

Slight problem there Em, he's a great guy and I love him to bits but he's not very good at DIY and if I did that it would be a case of literally Jude Do It Yourself and that would be the end of that!!!

Ah - time for a rethink then Buy the stuff and book someone to fit it! I'd do it for you but you're a bit too far away I rock at DIY - laminate is no problem - and if all else fails my brother is a carpet fitter and can do laminate too.

Tiling would be better, but I would check in your local DIY store and see what temperature the laminate would withstand. Ususally humidity rather than heat is the main problem. I'll ring Steven tomorrow and see what he thinks

Our plans for 2006 are giving the kitchen a face lift ie. new worktops and sink. Re -design bathroom (big job) been putting it off for ages. New flooring in dining room, don't know if we want tiles or wood. Don't know when we are actually going to start any of this, probably be flooring first, then kitchen and bathroom last hopefully.

Have a look on B&Qs website for re-designing your bathroom, they have a project pack to download that makes it really easy I used it for ours....then bought the gear from Wickes hehe ;D

Need to get Jamie's room done...nearly 5 months old and is too big for his crib in our room... Just got plain walls with animal stickers. We had josephs room painted as a jungle, it's really cool!

Sounds great, Ikea have got some lovely jungle type things in and they are quite cheap. When we did a jungle theme in the nursery at work it was great, the children just loved it and their own paintings were wonderful. ;D

Hmmm a likely tale, are you sure it's not a glass or two of wine by the mousepad? Oh no, perhaps not everyone's like me! ;D
