Hello, My name is Pete and my wife is Joy. We retired to Turkey almost two years ago and must say what a fantastic decision it has been. We chose to retire in Koycegiz, same place as Sarah lives, for lots of reasons. Firstly, the place looks like paradise, the lake is beautiful, a great place to sit beside and relax. Also, Koycegiz is flat, great for us oldies! And, of course, the people. Here we get to be Turkish too, and try to fit in with their culture. If anyone would like to know more about retiring to Turkey, please just ask. Pete & Joy

Hi Emma, Your retirement maybe a long way off, but it's great to have a dream, something to aim for. We knew we were going to retire abroad, just didn't know where , then we discovered Turkey. Quite similar to your husband in that at first we weren't keen on coming here, no idea why.... Anyway, booked a last minute deal to Marmaris and fell in love with the country. Four more holidays followed before we made the move for good. Never too soon to start planning your escape...... Pete & Joy
