Your thoughts on whether you would be interested in the following ideas please...... A Turkish course (only basics) - this is a popular suggestion that I'm currently working on. A health/fitness section for that New Year health kick. A recipe section, either for Turkish recipes or your own favourites. Anyone else with any ideas, please let me know

Well I think basically we must all be on the same wavelength, talk a load of drivle, a bit crazy, but I think we get a lot out of it otherwise we wouldn't be on such a lot. It's a very friendly forum, but I agree it is a pity more people don't use it. Perhaps when the holiday season starts again more folks will start posting but it is nice to exchange thoughts and ideas, and it is also very nice to see photos of people who you regularly have a 'chat' to. I really enjoy it, so addicted it has become a problem in our house, we are fighting over who has the computer first! ;D ;D ;D ;D

That's a very good idea, sickgirl3. I have a few thing to swap, but I don't think anyone would want them to be honest! Dodgy Christmas pressies!!!!!! Yes Emma, I'm getting so excited about nearly there with 4 stars (I don't get out much) But being a senior sounds a bit old, will have to keep posting to become a godess, that sounds just the bees knees, always wanted to be a godess, like our Bob! Well he's a god, but we all 8-)know that anyway!

All really good ideas.
I must just add that MSN/YAHOO/GOOGLE search engines spiders will trawl your forum, pull of information and rank you accordingly in their search engine pages. Eg: If someone searches ''Turkey forum'' then if you have a high enough page rank your website address will appear. I bring this up - because I have noticed there is alot of copying and pasting going on from other websites. I dont mean stealing - just useful info being copied and put on here...You can get penalized for that by the SEO spiders.
Hope I made some sense. It should be illegal to be up this early on a Sunday morning. ;D

How else can we improve the forums?
It would be nice if you could write detailed reviews on the hotels you have stayed at in Turkey.
They are very often searched in google, and many people would come to the site to read them. I know I always look for reviews on the hotels i'm planning on staying at to see what is said about them.
I don't just mean 'Nice rooms, clean,' etc..a bit more detailed than that.
-We could all post our holiday snaps in the photo section. I notice now that not many people have done this. But it makes the forum attractive to new members if they can see photos of people having fun in Turkey.
-I mean this is the nicest way possible...but you could try adding abit of colour to the forum. It's very bland at the moment, and the version you are using is pretty old and it's not that easy to navigate your way around as a new member.
-Instead of having many different thread sections for Dates ie; June, July, August, September etc. You could make just one forum thread titled ''Holiday Dates for Turkey'' or something. It would look alot neater and people can start new posts with their dates.
And instead you could have forum sections like; Holiday Resorts Bodrum/Gumbet Marmaris Kusadasi Istanbul etc.
So it's a little more defined, rather than just ''Places to stay'' or whatever.
I see you have adsense on your page, but I cant imagine there is much money made from that as there are such few members, and not alot of traffic. It really depends how serious the admins are about improving the forum and gaining new members.
