who has bought this year?

I can't stand seeing an empty space on this forum, so i'll start something up.
Who else has bought this year, where, when and what's it like.
We bought a new duplex in Datca in March. We bought almost off plan, the foundations were in. I didn't care what the house was like I just wanted the lovely sea and mountain view. The house was completed in July and wasn't really like the plans they showed me but I love it and can't get out there enough. All my neighbours are Turkish and just lovely. They've all been round giving me ash trays (I don't smoke)! The complex of 14 houses and the pool will be finished by the time I get out there again in April so I'm really looking forward to it.
I'd love to hear if any one else has bought something. Also i'm happy to pass on my experiences especially the things we got wrong to anyone contemplating it.

Had a look at the web site it looks lovely. good luck with the purchasing. I'll put a picture of mine on sometime. It's quite a way from yours and a different kind of area. Its a bit of a treck to get there but very beautiful once you do. Not many non Turks there although I have a handful of UK friends there and have just met an american on another forum who lives just round the corner from me. I bet you can't wait for the day when you sit on your terrace with an efes. When do you expect it yo be ready?

hi all . having a villa built in sarigerme.hopefully starting end of dec .1month late due to rain,thatswhat i was told,isthat normal.anyway as long as it,s finished 1st week in june i don,t care.it,s about 400 ft up on the side of a pine mounting,or a large hill,all according how you look at it.it overlooks baba island .great view.only15 min from airport.the plot is 550 sq mts. the villa 4 beds, wet room showers,wrap around balconies,air con @central heating,and 8 by 4 mt pool,i can,t wait.sorry if i;m going on a bit, but i keep pinching myself,can;t believe it;s going to happen.thinking of moving here in july.i;ll keep you updated.sorry if i;m a bore.happy new year to all MICK.
