When does the winter set in Turkey and what is the weather like in your village Sarah and Bulent when it does?

Today is November 10th and it is 28c at 2.10 in the afternoon. Sun is shining and not a cloud in the sky. In Koycegiz, we are surrounded by high mountains, so the weather tends to be fine most of the time, the clouds just don't blow over these mountains. Most locals have their wood burners on at the moment, although I myself manage with air-conditioning on hot, late in the evening. The coldest it gets is during December and January where we may wake to a ground frost, which is gone by about 9am, when the sun gets higher. We have probably 15 frosty days maximum all winter. When it rains, it really rains, but only for a day, then back to lovely sunshine. We have probably 10 rainy days all winter. All winter if the sun is out, we don't even need a coat. Technically it is winter now, but I'm in a t-shirt!!! Winter is gone beginning of March if Koycegiz is anything to go by, however I cannot speak for the rest of Turkey.......

Winter in Turkey would seem to be warm and sunny No wonder we've all got the hump having to stay in freezing cold Blighty!
