Merhaba sickgirl3 have been to Side 3 times but every time stayed in Kumkoy just outside Side If you like history Side is full of it, and loads of shops selling jewellery, gold, leather etc plus loads of bars and eating places. There is a beach with stretches quite a way down the coast and it is pleasant to walk to Kumkoy along the beach. Never stayed at the Paloma Perissia but know someone who has and they had a great time and they said the hotel is great.

Just one thing about Side though, if you can speak a little Turkish it does help as Side has a lot of German tourists and they may not speak as much English as in other resorts I had to get by with the few German words I knew before I learned a few Turkish words but it all adds to the fun of being abroad.

That's a good idea sickgirl3 you seem very organized, not like me. Nor me, on my first visit to Turkey I had several bar tabs with Turkish phrases scribbled on the back. Naturally, I learned the rude words first I'm going to make a real effort to learn more in the new year.

Side looks nice, and your hotel looks lovely Tracey. I've never been to Side - I'm a Fethiye girl - but may go exploring next year. I've got a lot to pack into this holiday
