Hiya Bulent, can you tell me when we go on holiday, what is the best currency to take? I know we are looking ahead to August but I'm just excited now it's this year. ;D I have found it better to take a little Turkish money to get you over the 1st day. Everyware takes and exchanges the pound,I have found you get a better rate to change pound to lira in Turkey.

juicjude don't buy anything at any Tutkish airport ,they are very over priced dearer then in England. Buy what you need in the resort and take to the airport it's very much cheaper that way .

Been looking at the exchange rate and it's
£1 (GBP) = 2.25 (TRL) at the moment. ....not bad
Booze has gone up again in Turkey - 35% tax has been added so you will probably notice a difference in prices this year.

Rate seems to be stable. When will the government learn that you can kill the golden goose.

That would be a proper shame, but I think Greece has gone dear now with the euro. Mind, we noticed in Olu Deniz last year, the drinks were very expensive, Hisaronu was much cheaper. Did you find that Bob?

Did you find that Bob? Hisaronu is cheaper then Oludenize most of the time. Drinks and food are cheaper in Hisaronu but saying that Bar street were charging 4 lira a pint down some of the side streets you could get for 2.5

We noticed a big difference last year in the prices of drinks and food. I went to buy a bottle of Brandy and it was cheaper over here to buy....... never thought I'd see the day. Yes most european countries are getting expensive now spain, greece etc but it's still cheaper than holidaying in this country don't you think!!

Most of the things we buy are cheaper in Turkey but to drink spirits it's much more exspensive and the beer is nearly the same as in England. T he only thing is when you abroad you are out evrey night and it starts to add up. We always found Turkey cheap for bringing back childrens clouthes.but with Tesco and asda selling them it's is just as cheep to buy at home.
